Here is the deal, i use my laptop all the time. I don't even like being away from it. it is my ONLY computer. I would trade it in right now for a MacBook Air AND not just because it looks amazing.
It really does fit what I need from a laptop.
First lets get rid of the lame problems people are having with it.
1. No optical drive: I rarly use mine, almost all the video i watch is streamed of downloaded, and when i do watch a DVD, i am at home, so a detached optical drive works great for me.
2. No ethernet port: I can't remember the last time i used the ethernet port on my MacBook.
3. No user replacable battery: Just not needed, never have had a second battery, never will.
4. Small harddrive: I use a 60GB right now and it is fine.
So as you see the MacBook Air is great for me (notice i said me, it might not work for you, but for me it does).
Now i won't be getting one for the following reasons
1. My current computer is just fine.
2. I don't have THAT much money to play with
3. Everyone knows the next generation will be better, and hopefully a little cheaper.
I hope that enough people like it so Apple keeps developing it. It really should be a amazing product in just a few years, when i think people will see that the choices they made were good ones.
